All my friends and family knows this, but I live by this saying.
If you don't vote, than you have no right to complain.
When they complain about how terrible the public school system is, I ask them, "did you vote?" And when they say no, I tell them to STFU.
When they complain about the state of the economy, I ask them, "did you vote?" And when they say no, I tell them to STFU.
Replace with anything else and the answer is pretty much always the same.
Most of my friends avoid talking to me when they want to complain. I think it's a win for me.
